Reality shock in job-change and turnover intention:

چکیده
The number of people changing jobs either once or multiple times has been increasing recently. Based on previous reality shock (RS) research, this study hypothesized that RS during a job-change would reduce work engagement (WE) and increase turnover intentions. This also focused self-concept clarity (SCC) which suggested to have reducing moderating effect negative responses stressful events. Four hundred twelve job changers were asked answer web-based survey measuring the RS, WE, intentions, SCC from three aspects Extremity, Certainty, Temporal Stability. results showed reduced WE increased Analysis focusing indicated was by high Extremity intentions decreased Certainty as well Moderated mediation analysis although Stability moderated in those who Certainty.
